Summer, you ask?
Yes, today was beautiful, so after pruning fuchsias, we went for a walk up Hillsborough with the dogs and started blackberrying.
It’s been a very wet and dull August here, which hasn’t helped our runner beans. We were late planting them out as we had to prepare our new vegetable plot.
Not something that we eat every day, but a wonderful occasional treat, especially when you can buy fresh cod or other white white fish and local potatoes
It was a wonderful, dry evening and people lined the streets without coats as we waited for the 2008 Ilfracombe Carnival procession to leave Hillsborough.
The town’s residents and holiday visitors will be turning out for Ilfracombe Carnival, in aid of St John’s Ambulance Brigade, on the evening of Thursday 21st August 2008.
