Thinking of the residents of Cockermouth in Cumbria and hoping that they can return to normal life as soon as possible after the floods, it struck me how powerful water is.
The more I perform at the Landmark, the more I realise what a wonderful theatre this is. A newcomer to the company was impressed with the facilities and agreed what a marvellous asset it is for Ilfracombe.

Studio Theatre’s production of Oh, What a Lovely War! at the Landmark Theatre, Ilfracombe, North Devon combines the songs that united the ordinary soldiers of the Great War with a wry look at the politicians and officers in charge of the carnage.

We were lucky to watch the hundreds of minis drive into Ilfracombe this afternoon on the North Devon Mini Grand Tour 2009 in aid of Children’s Hospice South West.

As the most influential British purveyors of combined musicianship and humour in the past 50 years, I was somewhat hesitant when I booked to see Three Bonzos and a Piano at the Landmark Theatre on 25th June. Would they still have that magical spark of genius or would it be better to rely on listening to their recorded glory?
I found this recipe in a Potato Marketing Board leaflet at a food fair many years ago. What is has do with China apart from soy sauce, I don’t know, but I like it. (You could always substitute noodles for potato.)
