A rambling and a musing in 2015

I find the Christmas and New Year break a good time to wind down, recharge and prepare for the year ahead. I don’t usually make resolutions, but it is good to refocus on what I want. I’ve even refreshed this blog in preparation for more frequent posting in 2015.

Ilfracombe, North Devon on a calm, frosty, bright December morning

2014 has been a tough year with life throwing a lot at my family. Balancing personal contentment while supporting those around me can be difficult, but I believe it is important. Those challenges will continue in 2015 and be even tougher.

This is one of the reasons I am glad I appreciate the world around me and the beautiful part of the country in which I live. Walking with our dog out in the sun, in the rain, in the wind, in the cold, in the calm wakes me up and opens my eyes to everything that is worth living for.

So here comes 2015. I know some of it will be tough, but I look forward to enjoying it too.

I wish you a superb year ahead wherever you are.
